Reigate is a medium sized market town based in the county of Surrey, it use to be know as Cherchefelle, this town was the 1st to be written about in the Domesday book. It is believed that the name came from Roe-deer Gate, as the town was situated near to the entrance to the de Warenne family's deer park, which is now Priory Park and Reigate Park. Reigate has an estimated population of just over 22,000 people according to Census 2001, many of whom work in the city of London. The towns railway station sees services to Redhill, Gatwick Airport, Guildford and Reading, and from those stations connections to London stations. Reigate is also close to the M25, and so is well placed for the M4 hi-tech region, and most of the towns around London, as well as both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The local area is well served by a range of successful plumbing contractors.
